Families in Poombugar, East Ariyal, are producing approximately 6,500 candles every month through a livelihood project managed by the Jaffna Diocese Laity Family Ministry. The candle production initiative has been running for one year to help improve the income of disadvantaged families in the area.

Father Srani Antony, the coordinator of the Jaffna Diocese Laity Family Ministry, asked the public to buy these candles and share information about the project to help increase production.
