Father Antoni Pazhecki celebrates silver jubilee of priesthood in Svislach
Father Antoni Pazhecki, OFMConv, celebrated his silver jubilee of priesthood on October 24 at the Holy Trinity and St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Svislach.
Archbishop Emeritus Tadeush Kondrusevich celebrated the Mass. He also joined Father Pazhecki in celebrating the jubilee of Father Karentin Banaventura N'tontas, a former classmate from the Saint Petersburg seminary. Archbishop Kondrusevich ordained both men 25 years ago.
The liturgy was attended by parishioners and clergy, including Grodno Bishop Vladimir Guleam. During the homily, Archbishop Kondrusevich stated that the call to priesthood comes from Jesus Christ, who chooses individuals to lead people to God. He noted that both jubilarians responded to Christ's call in different parts of the world.
