Grodno seminary students visit Marian shrines in the diocese

Catholic Intelligence1 min read

Pre-seminary students from the Interdiocesan Higher Theological Seminary in Grodno went on a pilgrimage to Marian shrines in the Diocese of Grodno on October 23 and 24. Led by prefect Father Andrei Skamaroshka, the group visited shrines in Trakely, Baruny, and Gudagai, where miraculous images of the Virgin Mary are venerated.

The students also visited Ashmyany, Ivia, and the Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Gerwaty. At each location, parish priests met the group to explain the history of the parishes, the architecture of the churches, and the spiritual significance of the sites.

During the pilgrimage, the students attended Mass at the shrines in Trakely and Baruny. They prayed for the seminary, new priestly vocations, educators, and benefactors. In Trakely, the group visited the gravesite of Father Jan Sarela, a long-time spiritual director of the Grodno seminary, to pray for his soul.
