Bishop George Sheehan congratulated Egypt's political leadership, armed forces, and police on the anniversary of the October victories.

The Maronite Archbishop of Cairo for Egypt and Sudan, who also serves as the Apostolic Visitor for North Africa and head of Maronite institutions in Egypt, issued the message on behalf of himself, priests, monks, and the people of the diocese. In his statement, Sheehan extended congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people, honoring the sacrifices made by national heroes to protect the country's land and dignity.

Sheehan described the victory as an epic of faith and willpower that reflects the spirit of the Egyptian people. He noted that current national development projects and construction efforts represent a continuation of the spirit of the October victory. The bishop concluded his message with a prayer for God to grant Egypt security, stability, and prosperity.
