Catechism students from St. Joseph's Church in Ilваlai held an exhibition on October 4 to mark the Year of Social Communication. Organized by parish priest Fr. Antony Vincent Silvester, the event featured displays on the Bible, the Ten Commandments, Church laws, parish history, the Popes, the Mass, and worship. Students also presented on the advantages and disadvantages of social media.

Fr. Anran Sripan, director of the Jaffna Diocese Social Communication Commission, opened the exhibition. Other attendees included Fr. Yesudas, head of the Ilavai deanery, priests, religious sisters, parents, and parishioners.

Earlier that morning, the parish celebrated National Catechism Day with a special Mass. Fr. Skaranraj, director of the Jaffna Diocesan Catechetical Center, presided over the liturgy, while Fr. Ronald Cherilnes assisted in the prayers.
