Pope Leo XIV has called on all believers and Christian communities to recite the Rosary throughout October to pray for the end of wars and peace among conflicting nations. During an apostolic visit to France, the Pope stated that prayers for peace should be accompanied by concrete acts of repentance and mercy, alongside a commitment to dialogue and reconciliation between peoples.

On October 1, children from schools and parishes in Rome joined the Pope to pray at the Lourdes grotto in the Vatican Gardens. This gathering was part of the Million Children Pray the Rosary initiative organized by the Aid to the Church in Need foundation.
