CEI and Pisai present 11 sheets to know Islam

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

The Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) and the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI) presented 11 fact sheets designed to help people understand Islam. The presentation took place at Palazzo Borromeo.

Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, president of the CEI, described the tool as a way for Catholics and Muslims to combat violence and ignorance. The sheets aim to reduce prejudice and help people navigate an increasingly pluralistic society.

The head of PISAI noted that deepening knowledge of the religion is necessary to counter the idea of a clash of civilizations.
