DECREE: PROMULGATION OF THE PARISH FINANCE MANUAL

Bishop Frank J. Caggiano has issued a decree promulgating the revised Parish Finance Manual for the Diocese of Bridgeport. The manual becomes the particular law governing how the diocese manages its temporal goods, effective September 30, 2026.

The revised manual incorporates updated policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the transparent and accountable administration of Church property. These updates align with universal Church law and the specific pastoral administrative needs of the diocese.

The diocese will publish the manual in its official newspaper, The Fairfield County Catholic, and on its website. Additionally, the diocese will send the provisions to all relevant personnel through electronic communication and regular mail.
