Diocese de Erexim holds 75th annual Romaria
The Diocese of Erexim is holding a novena to prepare for its 75th annual Romaria to N. Sra. de Fátima. The novena includes four daily services: a 07h Mass, a 14h Rosary and Mass, a 18h Rosary and Mass, and a 19h30 procession from the Cathedral to the Sanctuary followed by a field Mass.
To mark the 800 years of the death of São Francisco, the novena encourages the faithful to practice virtues from a prayer attributed to him, such as bringing love where there is hatred and hope where there is despair.
The Romaria will focus on the theme, “Fátima, um apelo de paz,” with the motto, “Felizes os que promovem a paz.” The event intentions include asking for help to overcome division through fraternity, following the spirit of São Francisco to promote peace, and praying for the sick to find strength in their suffering and receive care from families, the Christian community, and public health services.
