Diocese of Divinópolis to host 23rd Juridico-Canonical Formation Meeting on October 22

The Diocese of Divinópolis and its diocesan ecclesiastical tribunal will host the 23rd Juridico-Canonical Formation Meeting on October 22, 2026. Bishop Geovane Luís da Silva approved the event, which runs from 9h to 17h30.

Father Vicente Ferreira de Lima, the judicial vicar and president of the Divinópolis ecclesiastical tribunal, will lead the session. The meeting focuses on studying incapacities regarding the sacrament of marriage, specifically those involving the use of reason, defects of discretion of judgment, or psychic causes that prevent the assumption of essential obligations.

The program will emphasize jurisprudence from the Tribunal Apostólico da Rota Romana in Rome. Registrations for the meeting are open.
