Diocese of Locri-Gerace to renew missionary commitment

The Diocese of Locri-Gerace has scheduled three events for Missionary October to strengthen the missionary vocation of its communities and promote shared responsibility for spreading the Gospel.

According to a letter from Giuseppe Alfano and Dawinso Licona Sierra, directors of the Diocesan Missionary Center, the program includes World Mission Sunday on October 18, which features a collection to support the Pontificie Opere Missionarie. On Friday, October 23, at 21:00, the diocese will hold a Diocesan Missionary event in Platì.

The schedule concludes on Saturday, October 24, from 9:30 to 13:00, with the Interdiocesan Missionary Conference at the Casa del Laicato Mons. Luciano Bux in Gioia Tauro. This event, titled Chiese sorelle – Un Patto di Vangelo tra Calabria, Africa e America Latina, begins a path of collaboration between four Calabrian dioceses and churches in Africa and Latin America.
