Diocese of Melilla holds first meeting to contribute to Pastoral Plan
The episcopal vicariate of Melilla held its first meeting on Saturday, October 24, to gather input for a new diocesan pastoral plan. The gathering took place at the Buen Consejo school, run by the Franciscan sisters.
Episcopal vicar José Luis Pastor welcomed the Christian community and shared an audio message from the bishop. In the message, the bishop expressed his desire for the diocese to develop a unified pastoral approach involving priests, religious, laity, confraternities, parishes, and schools.
Angelines Morales, a member of the team drafting the working document, presented a proposal for participation based on an analysis of current local realities. Following the presentation, participants engaged in group discussions to share perspectives from different vocations and charisms within the Melilla Church. The meeting concluded with prayer and adoration.
