Diocese of Nocera Inferiore-Sarno to hold missionary vigil on October 28

The Diocese of Nocera Inferiore-Sarno will hold a missionary vigil on Wednesday, October 28, at 20:00 at the San Bartolomeo Apostolo parish in Nocera Inferiore. Bishop Giuseppe Giudice will preside over the celebration.

Organized by the diocesan missionary office, the event follows the theme "United in Mission" for the centenary of the World Mission Day. The celebration will follow a format from the Missio Foundation adapted for the diocese. During the vigil, a cross will be given to all baptized people as a sign of the missionary mandate.

Don Emanuele Ruggiero, director of the diocesan missionary office, said mission is not only for distant countries but begins in communities and families.
