Diocese of Nuoro to celebrate 100 years of L'Ortobene

The Diocese of Nuoro will hold two events to mark the 100th anniversary of its weekly newspaper, L'Ortobene. Founded in 1926 by Bishop Maurilio Fossati, the publication reaches its centennial this year.

A conference titled "Daily Life in 100 Years: L'Ortobene, the Voice of the Community" is scheduled for Thursday, October 1. Bishop Antonello Mura will participate alongside the newspaper director, Father Francesco Mariani. Other speakers include Mauro Ungaro, president of the Federation of Catholic Weeklies, and a journalist from Avvenire.
