Diocese of Rimini to thank Pope Leo XIV

A delegation of approximately 400 people from the Diocese of Rimini will meet Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday, September 23, to express gratitude for his recent visit. The group plans to present the Pope with gifts that commemorate his time in the diocese and will carry a banner reading "Thank you Pope Leo XIV!"

The delegation includes about 230 people traveling on five buses organized by Ariminum Travel, a group from the Viserba Mare parish, and others traveling to Rome independently. Participants will attend a 10:00 a.m. audience with the Pope to deliver the gifts and greetings. Following the audience, the bishop will preside over Holy Mass at St. Peter's Basilica at noon.

The Viserba Mare parish has organized a two-day trip led by parish priest Alessandro Pironi. This group will visit Castel Gandolfo on Tuesday before joining the larger diocesan delegation on Wednesday morning. During the journey, participants will use a prepared text, a Catholic weekly, and video footage of the Pope's previous visit to Rimini.
