Diocese of Tacna y Moquegua to bless pets and plants on September 27

Parishes in the Diocese of Tacna y Moquegua will hold special blessings for pets and plants to honor St. Francis of Assisi. These events aim to encourage reflection on the Christian responsibility to care for creation.

The Señor de los Milagros Franciscan Parish in Tacna will host the blessing for pets and plants on September 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the parish atrium. The event will include the parish community, apostolic movements, religious dancers, and members of the Hermandad del Señor de los Milagros.

Additionally, the Santa María de los Ángeles Parish in Ilo will hold a pet blessing on Sunday, October 4, at 8:00 a.m. near the parish temple in front of the Plaza de la Bandera. This session is open to all families wishing to bring their companion animals for a blessing.
