Diocese of Valledupar's school receives environmental award

Agro-environmental Educational Institution San Isidro received an award for environmental education and citizen participation on October 16. The Corporación Autónoma Regional del Cesar (CORPOCESAR) presented the distinction during ExpoCorpocesar 2026.

The school is one of several educational institutions linked to the Diocese of Cesar through an agreement with the Gobernación del Cesar. According to the Diocese of Valledupar, the award recognizes the school's efforts to teach children and young people how to protect nature, care for ecosystems, and support sustainable development.

The recognition also highlights the school's teaching methods, which combine environmental education with entrepreneurship and the responsible use of resources to meet local needs. Through the partnership between the diocese and the regional government, these schools work to strengthen the ability of students to address social and environmental challenges in their communities.
