Do not forget Ukraine: Cardinal Mykola Bychok

Cardinal Mykola Bychok, Bishop of the Eparchy of Saints Peter and Paul of Melbourne, recently visited Ukraine to attend a Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and meet with people in several cities. During his visit to Kherson, the cardinal was present during a bombardment.

Speaking to The Catholic Weekly, Cardinal Bychok said the Ukrainian Church has gained significant experience in assisting the wounded, prisoners of war, families, and those traumatized by conflict. He suggested that the lessons learned by the Church in Ukraine may eventually serve the universal Church and other nations facing similar wars and conflicts.
