Bishop of Ibiza participates in 50th anniversary of Pastoral de la Salud

Bishop Vicent Ribas of Ibiza joined delegates in Madrid to mark 50 years of Pastoral de la Salud in Spain. The meeting, organized by the Department of Pastoral de la Salud of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, brought together leaders from Tuesday through Thursday to discuss the Church's mission to welcome, care for, and accompany the sick.

Bishop Ribas attended as president of the episcopal subcommission for Pastoral de la Salud, accompanied by the diocesan delegate, Ana López.

The sessions included presentations on hospital ministry, caring for the elderly, and attending to the sick. Participants also reviewed survey results for a new Pastoral de la Salud. The gathering concluded on Thursday with a mass at the Almudena Cathedral and a tribute to the directors and bishops responsible for the ministry during the last 50 years.
