Joanie Lewis Appointed as New Director of Mission and Advancement

Bishop David J. Bonnar appointed Joanie Lewis as the first Director of Mission and Advancement for the Diocese of Youngstown. The appointment takes effect in April 2027.

Lewis will manage mission and advancement matters, including capital campaigns, planned giving, and increased offertory programs. She will also oversee the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown Foundation and work to encourage giving within diocesan schools and parishes.

Lewis previously served for 28 years as the Appeals and Campaigns Account Executive at Our Sunday Visitor. In that role, she consulted on church fundraising and diocesan annual appeals. She is a member of Holy Family Parish in Poland and studied business management at Youngstown State University.
