Archbishop Riccardo Lamba to meet with mayors of the Archdiocese of Udine

Archbishop Riccardo Lamba will host a Holy Mass for the 124 mayors of the municipalities within the Archdiocese of Udine on Thursday, November 5. The meeting will take place at the Oratorio della Purità in Piazza Duomo, Udine.

The gathering commemorates the death of Venerable Giorgio La Pira, the former mayor of Florence who worked for peace and social justice. Archbishop Lamba cited Pope Leo XIV in the document Magnifica humanitas, noting that La Pira's memory demonstrates how grace generates a creative resistance to evil through work for the good.

Following the celebration, Archbishop Lamba will present his message for the 2026/2027 year, titled "What is man that you care for him?"
