Daily readings of the Canticle of the Creatures at Milan rose garden
The Fondazione Riccardo Catella has scheduled daily audio readings of the Canticle of the Creatures at the Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano rose garden through Monday, December 7. The program, titled L’Ora di Francesco, takes place every day from 13.00 to 14.00 in the park's biodiversity area.
The immersive sound installation features recordings of Milan Archbishop Mario Delpini and Fra Giulio Cesareo, director of the communication office for the Sacro Convento of Assisi. The readings also include new versions of the text written by Mariangela Gualtieri, Franco Arminio, and five contemporary playwrights. These versions were commissioned for the BAM Autumn Festival.
A separate event is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, at 21.00 at Volvo Studio Milano. This performance, titled Simplex et Idiota by Alberto Oliva, features a staged dialogue between Francis and other historical figures.
