Archbishop Claudio Maniago celebrates Mass in Taverna

Archbishop Claudio Maniago celebrated Mass at the Santa Barbara church in Taverna to bring together the Santa Barbara and Santa Maria Maggiore parishes. The celebration followed a penitential service held in San Giovanni d’Albi as part of the Archbishop's pastoral visit to the communities of Taverna, Albi, and San Giovanni d’Albi.

During his homily, Archbishop Maniago spoke about the importance of the Eucharist and Sunday for Christians and their communities. He told the faithful that the breaking of bread makes the love of Christ present and is not merely a memory of a past event. He described the altar as the starting and returning point for the life of a Christian community, including its traditions and pastoral work.
