La Salle University, Archdiocese of Philadelphia Announce Partnership

La Salle University and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s System of Secondary Schools have formed a partnership to create a pathway for high school graduates to attend the university. Under the agreement signed Sept. 25, graduates from the 15 archdiocesan high schools who maintain at least a 3.0 GPA are guaranteed admission to La Salle.

These students will receive a minimum of $20,000 per year in merit scholarships plus an additional $3,000 partner school scholarship. La Salle University President Daniel J. Allen said the agreement allows graduates to receive a liberal arts education guided by the Lasallian mission.

William E. Brannick, the archdiocese's superintendent of secondary schools and schools of special education, said the partnership allows students to continue their education in a Catholic environment.
