Liberty Bank Seeds New Scholarship Fund for Catholic Academy of Hartford
Liberty Bank provided a $100,000 grant to Archbishop Christopher J. Coyne on Sept. 21 to establish a new scholarship fund for the Catholic Academy of Hartford.
The Connecticut Catholic Foundation will manage the fund. David W. Glidden, president and CEO of Liberty Bank and the Liberty Bank Foundation, delivered the check to the Archbishop at the school on Asylum Avenue in Hartford.
Glidden stated that the bank intends to help younger students access affordable educational opportunities in Hartford. He also noted that the academy is intended to serve children and help revitalize the surrounding neighborhood.
