Lord of Miracles procession fills streets of Stamford
Hundreds of devotees participated in a Mass and procession for the Lord of Miracles at St. Mary of Stamford Parish on Sunday, October 11. Organized by the Stamford Brotherhood of the Lord of Miracles Gang Number One, the event brought together local participants and delegations from Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport, and New Rochelle.
The parish presented two small images during Mass: the Lord of Miracles and the Virgin of the Cloud, the patron saint of Ecuadorian migrants. Participants carried and walked alongside platforms while praying the rosary, singing religious songs, and spreading incense despite heavy rain.
Elvis Tuesta Cuadros, the Peruvian consul in Hartford, attended the feast to support the community. He noted that the tradition serves as an expression of identity and belonging for immigrants maintaining their cultural roots.
