Diocese of Ibiza to beatify 20 martyred priests on October 17

The Diocese of Ibiza will beatify 20 martyred priests on October 17. The diocese has scheduled a series of events to mark the occasion, beginning October 10 and concluding November 6.

The beatification ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of Ibiza. A thanksgiving Mass will be held at the cathedral on October 18. On October 24 and 25, thanksgiving services will be held in all parishes of the diocese of Ibiza and Formentera. The celebrations end on November 6, the first liturgical feast for the new blessed, when Bishop Vicent Ribas will preside over a service at the parish of Nuestra Señora del Pilar in Formentera at 6:00 p.m.

The program begins on October 10 at the cathedral with the premiere of a hymn for the martyred priests, a documentary screening, and the opening of the In Memoriam Ad Honorem exhibition at the Pabordía exhibition hall. On October 16, prayer services and vespers are scheduled at Parador, sa Carrossa, the port of La Savina in Formentera, the Sant Carles church plaza, and the Santa Eulària parish church.
