Malta House names new board members
Malta House has appointed three new directors to its board to support its mission of providing shelter and services to pregnant and parenting mothers.
The new directors are Father Sam Kachuba, the Vicar for Young Adult Ministries of the Diocese of Bridgeport and former pastor of St. Pius X Parish; Heather Keane, owner and Chief Marketing Officer of Visiting Angels; and Troy Pinto, an executive at LinkedIn. Board Chair Michael O’Rourke stated that these individuals bring unique skills to help the organization transform the lives of vulnerable mothers and children.
Based in Norwalk, Malta House has assisted more than 900 mothers and children since 1998. The ministry provides residents experiencing homelessness with counseling, financial education, parental development, and transitional support to help them build independent living skills.
