Masses scheduled in 6 cemeteries for All Souls Day

The Diocese of Bridgeport will celebrate All Souls Day Masses at six Catholic cemeteries on Monday, November 2.

According to Kenn Devane, director of cemetery relations for Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of Bridgeport, the Masses will begin at 11 a.m. and will proceed rain or shine. These services are part of the Church's tradition of praying for the deceased and honoring the faithful departed throughout the month of November.

Devane noted that these gatherings allow parishioners to pray for the relief of souls in purgatory and find community with others experiencing grief.
