Parish ambassadors prepare for Eucharist28

More than 60 parish ambassadors from the Archdiocese of Sydney gathered at St Martha’s in Leichhardt on September 15 to prepare for the International Eucharistic Congress, Eucharist28. Organized by the Parish Renewal Team within the Sydney Centre for Evangelisation, the meeting served as the fourth gathering for parish leaders this year.

The gatherings provide training, resources, and formation to help laypeople and priests build a culture of Eucharistic revival within their local communities. Daniel Ang, director of the Sydney Centre for Evangelisation, said the role of these ambassadors is central to the archdiocese's preparations and involves bringing revival to life at the parish level through learning.

Ambassadors at the meeting included Patrick Bouchahine from St Michael’s in Belfield, who noted growing interest in RCIA lessons, and Simon Lavaesa and Gina Fattal from All Saints in Liverpool.
