Diocese of Cajazeiras promotes awareness with leaders and ministers in Itaporanga-PB

The Diocese of Cajazeiras held a meeting on September 26, 2026, to introduce the Caminhando em Unidade project to leaders and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion at the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Parish in Itaporanga.

The project, which Bishop Francisco de Assis Gabriel dos Santos, C.Ss.R. has accepted, aims to coordinate the efforts of the Elderly Pastoral Care and the extraordinary ministers of communion to support and care for elderly people in the diocese using the national methodology for elderly pastoral care.

Priest Walter Anacleto and Priest Marcos Vinícius welcomed the training commission, which included Priest Rodolfo Cavalcante, Luiz and Leni Nobre, and PPI leader Dinha. During the meeting at the parish pastoral center, Father Anacleto spoke about the need to strengthen the Church's social work in the diocese by improving the care and appreciation of elderly residents.
