Prime Minister Nabbanja Contributes Shs20 Million Towards Renovation of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Dokolo

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja contributed Shs20 million to renovate St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in the Dokolo District. The donation was announced during a fundraising event on September 26, 2026, where the Prime Minister served as the guest of honor.

Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees Sam Engola delivered the Prime Minister's message, stating she remains committed to supporting Church projects that improve communities. Engola, who is also the Member of Parliament for Erute South, pledged to help mobilize resources to finish the renovation of the church sanctuary and intends to invite President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to the church.

Bishop Sanctus Lino Wanok of Lira Diocese celebrated the event and urged the local Christian community to take responsibility for developing their own church buildings. He told the faithful that contributing financially to the renovation of their sanctuary serves as an expression of their faith and unity.
