PS Cornel Damian confers Sacrament of Confirmation on 19 youth in Bucharest

Auxiliary Bishop Cornel Damian confirmed 19 young people at the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Bucharest on October 11, 2026.

During the liturgy, Bishop Damian spoke to the recipients about the role of the sacrament in strengthening the gift of the Holy Spirit received at Baptism. He compared the seal of the Holy Spirit to a soldier's seal, noting that the bishop acts as a successor to the apostles by laying hands on the faithful. He encouraged the youth to live out their faith and witness to the Gospel through regular participation in Sunday Mass.

Following the service, the confirmed youth met with Bishop Damian and received a book about the life of Saint Carlo Acutis.
