Archbishop Mirosław Wachowski marks one year since his episcopal ordination

Archbishop Mirosław Wachowski, the apostolic nuncio, marks the first anniversary of his episcopal ordination on October 26, 2026. A priest from the Diocese of Ełk, he was ordained a bishop by Pope Leo XIV on October 26, 2025.

Bishop Jerzy Mazur of Ełk served as one of the co-consecrators during the ordination. In an interview for the October issue of the monthly Martyria, Archbishop Wachowski discussed his appointment, his experience being ordained by the Pope, and his first year of diplomatic and pastoral service.
