Students from 3 educational institutions meet in Santa Clotilde for 1st Napurunas Youth Leaders Congress
The Apostolic Vicariate of San José del Amazonas reported that the 1.º Congreso de Jóvenes Líderes Napurunas por el Cambio took place in Santa Clotilde. Organized by the Colegio LUGAPE, the event brought together 22 students from the educational institutions of Santa Clotilde, Copal Urco, and Diamante Azul, along with 21 teachers and facilitators.
Participants shared knowledge and discussed human rights, cultural identity, and socio-environmental challenges in Loreto. The congress provided spaces for training and exchanging experiences to help young people recognize their role in the well-being of their communities and the Casa Común.
The program began with a prayer inspired by the four elements of earth, fire, air, and water to reflect on leadership qualities such as firmness, transparency, the ability to inspire, and pride in roots. The meeting also included an encounter with the stories and memories of indigenous peoples.
