The Good Newsroom’s Executive Editor Elected to Catholic Media Association’s Board of Directors

Mary Kate Polanin, the executive editor of The Good Newsroom, has been elected to the Catholic Media Association Board of Directors. She will fill a newly created position representing digital-only publications.

Polanin serves as the executive editor for The Good Newsroom, the digital news outlet for the Archdiocese of New York. Her previous experience includes serving as the digital content editor for Busted Halo, a ministry of the Paulist Fathers, and working in multicultural public relations in New York.

CMA president Kerry Weber noted that Polanin previously contributed to the association through her work on the Catholic Media Conference planning committee. The new board seat was established to represent the increasing number of digital communicators and online publications within the association. Polanin begins a three-year term immediately.
