Six Trofa youths return from missions in Kenya and Mozambique
Six young people from Trofa returned from mission trips in Kenya and Mozambique held this past August.
The participants joined the Es.Tu.Dar mission in Kenya and the Ponto de Encontro mission in Mozambique. In Massângulo, Mozambique, the group worked on starting an intergenerational garden intended as a community meeting space. While the project was not finished during the trip, Father João Nascimento, the priest responsible for the community, will continue the work to create local employment opportunities.
The group also provided financial support to help continue a school tutoring project managed by Father Nascimento. The missionaries participated in activities with local children, youth, and families to learn about their community realities.
