Vice President JD Vance tells EWTN News God calls Christians to be humble

Vice President JD Vance told EWTN News on Oct. 22 that Christians serve as ambassadors for God on Earth. During an interview with Raymond Arroyo on The World Over with Raymond Arroyo, Vance said the witness of Christians doing good things is powerful.

Vance described his personal faith journey, which began in Appalachian Protestant churches and led him to the Catholic Church. He noted that he was drawn to Catholicism, which he previously described as a beautiful ancient Church. He shared a religious experience from his past involving a near-accident on a mountain road following his grandmother's funeral, which he felt was a sign from God.

The interview also covered politics, economics, and immigration. Regarding civil unrest in France, Vance stated that migration plays a role in the situation. He also spoke about the nature of faith, suggesting that God calls Christians to remain humble during uncertainty and that walking in faith often involves setbacks.
