History

Sant’Alessandro in Colonna is the cathedral of the Diocese of Bergamo. It is dedicated to Alexander of Bergamo. Filarete designed it in the Italian Neoclassical and Italian Baroque style. It is protected as a Italian national heritage. It holds the title of minor basilica. The see was erected in 400.
