Resurrection Parish in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn, traces its origins to 1924 when Bishop Thomas Molloy sent Father Edward J. Matthews to establish a parish. The current church was completed in 1953. The parish is ministered by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood.
