St. Mary Gate of Heaven was founded in 1904 by Bishop Charles McDonnell to serve Ozone Park, originally staffed by the Montfort Fathers until 2018. It is a culturally diverse parish with Masses and ministries in English and Spanish and an active Filipino community.
