Saint-Germain is the cathedral of the Diocese of Rimouski in Albertville. It is dedicated to Germanus of Auxerre. Victor Bourgeau designed it in the Gothic Revival style. It is protected as a part of a Quebec heritage property and classified heritage immovable. The see was erected in 1867.
