Santa Maria Assunta serves as the cathedral for the Diocese of Chioggia. This cathedral is located in Italy, at the southernmost point of the Venetian Lagoon. It dates from 1633 and was designed by Baldassarre Longhena in the baroque style. The see was erected in 1106.
