Holy Cross Catholic Church is located at 2438 S. Alston Avenue, Durham, North Carolina. The parish has a rich history that began with Jesuit priests in 1939 and later transitioned to Franciscan and then Diocesan presence. In April 2021, it became a diocesan parish under the leadership of Fr. Pius Wekesa, OFM, who was reassigned on July 1, 2026, to St. Mark Catholic Church in Wilmington, NC. The current pastor is Fr. Ugochukwu Cletus, a Josephite priest assigned to Holy Cross for the first time.
