Saint Monica Parish is located in San Francisco, California. The parish was established on January 22, 1911, by Father Edward Doran at a vacant store on Geary Boulevard and 27th Avenue. In June 1918, the current site of the church was blessed, becoming one of the largest churches in San Francisco as the city expanded westward. The parish celebrated its centennial Mass on October 23, 2011, marking a century of service to the community. Saint Monica Parish continues to uphold traditions and involve its members in various ministries, reflecting a rich history integral to the San Francisco story.
