St. Monica - St. Thomas the Apostle Parish is located in San Francisco, California. The parish was established on January 22, 1911, as St. Monica Church at Geary Boulevard and 27th Avenue. It moved to its current site on 24th Avenue in 1918, where it has grown into one of the largest churches in San Francisco. The parish celebrates its centennial on October 23, 2021, honoring a rich history that reflects the development of the Richmond District. St. Monica School opened in 1919 and continues to serve the community today.
