Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church was established in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1925 as the first church for African American Catholics. Founded to serve a growing community, it has educated numerous generations through its schools, including Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Academy and Notre Dame High School. The parish celebrated its centennial in 2023, marking a century of service and faith.
