St. Clement Church
Vivian, LA
St. Clement Catholic Church serves the community of Vivian, Louisiana. Founded in 1945 by Bishop Daniel Desmond, the church was established on property donated by Oliver and Helen Smith. Construction funds came from local contributors and generous gifts, including a substantial donation from Mrs. Mathilda Bullen through the Catholic Church Extension Society. The first Mass was celebrated by Father Louis P. Senesac on November 10, 1945, with official dedication ceremonies held in May 1946 under Bishop Charles Greco's leadership. The church continues to welcome parishioners and visitors alike to worship and explore their faith.
