St. Joseph Parish, Tiltonsville, was established in 1917 by Bishop James J. Hartley of Columbus; Father John Queally was first pastor and built the Mound Street church in 1918. In November 2020 the parish absorbed the closed St. Lucy Parish of Yorkville.
