Santa Maria Assunta is the most important sacred building in Vittorio Veneto, located in Ceneda and facing Piazza Giovanni Paolo I. It serves as the cathedral of the Diocese of Vittorio Veneto, which historically was known as the Diocese of Ceneda. The see was erected in 1818 and the cathedral dates from 1740. Ottavio Scotti designed it in a Neoclassical style; it is also a national monument of Italy and contains the remains of San Tiziano.
